Sustainable Health began as the Partnership for Personalized Medicine, with a strong focus on local, national, and global collaborations.
These partnerships begin with our esteemed colleagues at the Biodesign Institute and Arizona State University. We also rely on a growing network of global relationships to help us plan and implement innovative collaborations related to our mission at Sustainable Health.
One relationship warrants particular mention, our strategic partnership with Chang Gung University and Medical System in Taiwan, led by Dr. Chia Pao, which was inaugurated with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in February 2011.
We opened our second Biosignatures Institute in March 2012 in Tianjin, China. It is funded by the Tianjin International Joint Academy of Biotechnology and Medicine. We anticipate a model whereby leading U.S. scientists will be funded to set up satellite labs in Tianjin.
Dr. Lee Hartwell serves as Chief Scientist for each of the partner sites.
